This article discusses the automated and manual reminder and nudge tools available to learners and admins using Training Plans in enterprise accounts. Individual enterprise account members and users of personal accounts should refer to Assigning Yourself a Training Plan.
This document contains the following sections:
Learner Reminder Tools
If you are a learner who has been assigned a Training Plan, you can add training reminders to your calendar. At the bottom of your assigned Training Plan, under the Training Plan tab, you'll see an option to add a weekly reminder:
Click this link to open a window where you can select a period of time each week to commit to training in QA. You can then download an .ics file that will allow you to add training reminders. .ics files are supported on Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook.
Administrator Reminder Tools
Administrators have two options available to help manage learners' progress on Training Plans:
- By default, QA sends emails on your behalf to any team members who fall behind on the Training Plan schedule. The system sends a maximum of three emails per Training Plan.
Tip: You can disable these reminders at any time from the Settings tab on the Training Plan screen. - You can manually nudge a team member as part of the process of Maintaining a Training Plan. From the Members tab of the Training Plan screen, you can click the Nudge button to send the team member an email. A window appears where you can preview and edit the email if needed.
Note: Even if a member has not yet accepted the invitation and activated their QA account, the system still sends them automated nudges for Training Plans assigned to them.
