What's required to complete a course?

Completing all the items in a course is one way to achieve 100% completion, but there are some times when that might not be necessary for you. For example, if you already have existing knowledge about the topic or if the course was updated while you were working on it, you might not want to have to complete or repeat all the early lessons.

Fortunately, you don't have to sit through redundant information. To consider a course complete, all the platform requires is that you successfully pass the final set of lab challenges and exams.

For example, in the following course, steps 1-63 are optional, but you must successfully pass steps 64 and 65 for the system to consider the course complete.

You can tell that steps 64 and 65 are the final set of exams and labs if you start from the bottom of the list and work your way up until you reach a lesson. That last items that isn't a lab challenge or exam marks the last of the optional material.

If other exams or lab challenges appear earlier in the course, you are not required to complete them to achieve 100% completion of the course.
