To help maintain a high-quality learning experience, we’ve introduced the unpublished content status. This change ensures learners focus on the most current and accurate materials while giving administrators visibility into past content.
Why content may be unpublished
Content is unpublished when it’s no longer current, accurate, or relevant. This includes content that hasn’t been updated in a long time, contains outdated information, relates to obsolete technologies or topics, or was created by a content partner we no longer work with.
What happens when content is unpublished?
Once content is unpublished, it is removed from the content library, all courses, and the “In Progress” section of the “My Activity” page. It no longer appears in search results and cannot be assigned or used to build new custom courses. Learners will no longer be able to view or access this content.
However, unpublished content will still appear in learners’ completion history, as well as in admin reports and analytics dashboards for tracking and reporting purposes.
Impact on Active Assignments
If unpublished content is part of an active custom course or learning assignment, learners may be unable to complete the course or assignment.
For learners:
If you’re unable to complete a company assignment due to unpublished content, contact your manager or administrator. They can update the assignment by removing or replacing the unpublished content so you can continue your learning.
For administrators:
If unpublished content is affecting active courses you’ve assigned, you can help learners complete their assignments by:
- Reviewing active programs and custom courses.
- Removing or replacing unpublished content to avoid disruptions.
