If you want to plan your Programs to avoid overwhelming your learners with multiple assignments at the same time, you can schedule the Programs to start at a future date. |
When creating a Program, you can select a future "Start Date" in the "Advanced Settings"- within the creation flow.
Program Status
When you select a "Start Date", the Program will be created in a "Scheduled" state. You can see it in the list and access it exactly as any other Program. If you no longer require the Program, you can delete it at any time.
Members List & Progress
A scheduled program still functions as any other Program. Depending on the Program's target, you will be able to see which users will be assigned to it when the start date is reached.
Additionally, it may happen that learners already have progress on the content or skills you have selected. In this case, you will see it reflected in the overall Program statistics and progress, even if it’s still scheduled.
Learners' Notifications
Learners will not receive any notification that they have been assigned to a new Program until it reaches the start date. Nonetheless, they will be able to see scheduled Programs in their dashboard as soon as you deploy them.
As previously mentioned, viewing the planned schedule might motivate learners to start studying earlier, potentially boosting their progress before the start date.
