What Is a Skill Profiles Dashboard
The Skill Profiles dashboard is a tool in QA where administrators and team managers can:
- Get a clearer picture of the skills present in your company
- See how training is increasing those skills over time
- Compare teams' skills
Tip: Friendly competitions between teams can be useful to engage users
- Find people already in your company who have the skills you need for a particular job role or project.
To access the Skill Profiles dashboard from the product dashboard, click the company icon in the top left of the screen, then click Intelligence and then click Skill Profiles from the menu that appears:

The graphic below shows an example of the Skill Profile dashboard:

At the top is a row of filters where you limit what information appears on the dashboard. The filters are:
-
Subject: Choose the scope of the data to include in the dashboard. You can choose the whole company, a single team, or a single team member.
-
Segment by: Choose Platform, Domain, Concept, or Team.
-
Segments: The values of the category you chose in the Segment by field. For example, if you chose Team in the Segment by field, then your three top-performing teams appear here. You can remove a segment from the dashboard by clicking the X next to the name. If additional Segments are available to add, you can click the + button to add up to five.
Once you've chosen the values to filter on, the Skill Profile dashboard shows data in three major sections:
-
Overall: This section shows bar graphs of the team's proficiency with the segment values you chose.
-
Skill Growth Rate: The week-over-week percentage increase in skills for a given time period. These values are computed using the ongoing difference between current Skill Profiles scores and the first baselined Skill Profile score for each individual in a given skill. Skill Growth Rate is displayed for a segment by aggregating differences across that segment to show the percentage increase.
-
Top Users in your Organization: A list of users in your team with the highest scores in the skills you are looking at.
