When you drill down on a particular skill from the skill profile, a box plot like the following appears near the top of the screen:
The box plot contains a lot of information about your skill score and how it relates to the scores that other users have earned for the same skill. For more information on how the platform calculates your score, see How QA Calculates Skill Scores.
The following graphic zooms in on the line from above. The red labels have been added and no not appear in the platform.
- The length of the gray bar represents the possible skill score range from 0 to 1000.
- The smaller blue bar represents the middle range of scores of other users who have been evaluated on this skill. The leftmost end of the blue bar is the 25th percentile of scores; the rightmost end is the 75th percentile. The black dashed line represents the median score.
- The darkest blue line represents your skill score.
By using this graph, you can see not only your absolute score for this skill, but also how it compares to the rest of the users who have been assessed on this skill.
