Welcome to the Lab Guide for the QA Hands-on Lab Introduction to the AWS CLI.
Navigating AWS can be confusing for new students to learn as there are several services to learn. Accordingly, each service can operate on a per region basis or globally. When you navigate between a regional service and a global service, navigating back to your regional service might change your viewing region. Thereby making it appear that you don't have any resources.
In this lab, it's common for students to report missing resources. However, to see the available instance, please check if you are in the correct region, which is "Oregon." The IAM service during your previous step (Creating credentials to access your repository) uses a global region. When this happens, just change the region back to Oregon, and you should be able to see the instance in EC2. You can find where to change the region in AWS below:
I hope this helps, and should you need any further assistance, please email support@cloudacademy.com.
Happy Training!
