Getting Started: Design My Career

Welcome to QA! When you first get started as an individual user, the platform asks you a few questions to help you get the most out of your subscription right away. 

This article covers what happens when you choose Design my career.

Note: You can opt out of the following steps by clicking the Skip orientation link at the bottom of the screen. You can always choose your goals later, as described later in this article.

When your goal is to design your career, you next option is to Select a job role:

Here you see the categories of job role paths available to you. Click a category to see the paths. You can always go back to a different category to read about as many job role paths as you want before you make your decision.

Once you choose a category, you see a selection of job role paths. Click Preview content to see what the training includes. 

When you've chosen, click Select. (No pressure; you can change your mind later!)

The Review your study plan and start step appears:

Here you see an overview of what's going to be involved in your studying.

When you're ready, click Get Started.

You're back to the dashboard and ready to get training for your job role!

Tip: If you want to change the due date, just click the date and select a new one.

If you get started and realize this isn't the right path for you after all, you can always start this process over from your Account screen. Just choose Update your Study Plan to start the process again.
