Getting Started: Certification Path

Welcome to QA! When you first get started as an individual user, the platform asks you a few questions to help you get the most out of your subscription right away. 

This article covers what happens when you choose Get Certified.

Note: You can opt out of the following steps by clicking the Skip orientation link at the bottom of the screen. You can always choose your goals later, as described later in this article.

When your goal is to get certified, you next option is to Select a path:

Here you choose the type of certification you're interested in. The training plans that get you ready for that certification appear:

A few things to notice on this screen:

1. Click this icon to go back to the list of categories. You can look through as many categories as you want before choosing.
2. If the certifications are divided by experience level, you see a list of options here. You can click through them all to find what's right for you.
3. When you've found a certification you're interested in, you can click the Preview content link to see what the training includes.
4. When you've chosen, click Select. (No pressure; you can always change your mind later!)

Once you've selected a certification path, the Review your plan and get started step appears:

Here you see an overview of what's going to be involved in your studying.

When you're ready, click Get Started.

You're back to the dashboard and ready to get training for your certification!

Tip: If you want to change the due date, just click the date and select a new one.

If you get started and realize this isn't the right training plan for you after all, you can always start this process over from your Account screen. Just choose Update your Study Plan to start the process again.
